Every now and then, we get rain

I moved to Las Vegas from Idaho about 20 years ago. In Idaho, I worked with people from Las Vegas who couldn't wait to get back here and complained about living in Idaho. I didn't understand how they could tolerate the heat. My dad died in 1981 of hypothermia after getting lost on a snowmobile. I haven't liked the cold, since.

We lived in Maryland for 3 years and although I made some life-time friends, I was one of those complaining about the cold/rain/humidity, and couldn't wait to get back to Las Vegas. Well, every now and then, we get rain in Las Vegas. Some of my friends really love it. I'm just glad that before the day is over, the rain almost always stops.
